Ahhhhh the sweet, sweet smell of (arguably) the best day of the year. You get to dress up and be something else, or someone else for a day. You can be scary or sweet, cute or risqué. You get to scare and surprise your friends and family. Oh and don’t forget the best part: it’s totally cool to eat bucketloads of candy.
Yep, you guessed it: it’s HALLOWEEN!
Whether you’re having a party, or taking the kids out trick or treating, here are some fun ideas to add some more fun to your Halloween 2021.
Monster Burgers
If this doesn’t make the fam smile… nothing will. Easy, cute, and delicious. Cut a zig-zag into a slice of cheese, and top with a bit of ketchup (the spooky, oozing blood!) Place our Randall Lineback burger patty in the bun, making sure to keep the cheese showing.
Don’t forget a slice of flat sandwich pickle to stick out like a tongue! Skewer the burger together with two toothpicks topped with olives to look like eyes. BAM- monster burger. All the tricks but still a treat!
Mummified Sausages
Your “mummy” will be so proud of you when she hears this recipe has LITERALLY two ingredients. If it was any easier…. Well that’s impossible. Grab one pack of any of our MeatCrafters sausages (we like the Chicken Apple for this one) and one package of ready rolled puff pastry.
Roll out the pastry and cut into long, thin slices. Wrap the pastry slices around the sausages to mimic a mummy. Place on a baking sheet for 20 minutes at 350 degrees, and then an extra five minutes at 425 to add that golden color to your Sausage Mummies. Add some edible eyes and you’ve got yourself a treat that is to die for!
Adding some fake spiders will put that final touch on the platter that will be the talk of your table. We have an entire collection of amazing salamis and pre-sliced charcuterie options here.
